Sandie Gibson (pictured here with her daughter) will be lacing up her sneakers to participate in the BC Lung Association’s 10th annual Stairclimb for Clean Air for the first time this year.
“After catching a preview of the staircase at the Wall Centre recently, I’ve stepped up my stair-master action at the gym,” said Gibson, an outdoor lover who hasn’t been as active this year as she would have liked.Gibson is participating with a team of co-workers, aged 20 to near 60, all of whom are using the stairs at work to train for the big event.
“Signing up for Stairclimb was the motivation I needed to get more active again. It also feels good to contribute to a worthy cause. It sets a good example for my daughter, who I will be bringing to cheer me on,” she added.
